AttorneyAbout Winthrop Hubbard
Besides his career in law, Winthrop is an aspirational writer of humorous and self-professed “meaningless” short stories, who also likes to be “punny” on a day-to-day basis. He’s also loyal. He met his wife in the fourth grade and she became his high school sweetheart. They got married right after college.
On the academic front, Winthrop graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a double major in Political Science and International Studies. He was also on the Dean’s List and received a student leadership award. Then, he went on to get his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a member of the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy.
The strangest experience he’s had as an attorney involved someone very calmly and politely sought his help in shutting down Russian conspiracies. Winthrop kindly advised the gentleman that the firm didn’t handle those kinds of matters.
In his spare time, Winthrop runs (well, jogs) 5Ks for charity, reads all sorts of fiction, and plays tennis and board games (except puzzles, which he doesn’t prefer). Where sports are concerned, he’s an avid Seahawks fan and a perennially disappointed Mariners fan. Winthrop hasn’t had a great deal of time to travel yet, but he often visits Seattle to see family. Someday, he hopes to see Greece and Rome.
Winthrop has a particular talent for explaining to clients the legal remedies that will affect their case and how those remedies will affect what’s most important to them personally. As a result, they feel more comfortable because they understand the legalities fully and know what to expect.
